Challenge
Ceylon Aeronautical Services (CAS), one of Sri Lanka's only privately owned and managed Aircraft MRO's and is also the company representing Bell Helicopters to Maldives and Sri Lanka.
CAS was in need of replacing their old website, a basic static website with very slow page loading, with a brand new re-design that communicates their services and quality as a business.
Solution
Using their existing brand colors I re-designed a brand new website, focusing not only on achieving a modern website with good UX, but on creating an exciting web experience for their users.
Finding a nice balance between aesthetics and usability was what I was aiming for with CAS's new website, while slightly changing the already available content to better suit the goals of the business
Design Direction
From bold fonts for headings, to the use of interactive graphical elements in the form of aircrafts and helicopters was one key design element running all through out the website, inorder to give the feel of the nature of the CAS's business. A few other design elements that were used to complement it was the use of arrows that mimicking the structure of an aircraft and the dots appearing on hover mimicking the bolts used in the airframes.
